Distinctly all-American and nurtured by artisans since 1863. John A. Frye opened the doors to the very first Frye shop on Elm Street in Marlboro, MA.
In the 60's, Frye made custom boots for a number of well known people including Jackie Kennedy, Bing Crosby, Jerry Lewis, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Ann-Margret, Walt Frazier, Laurel & Hardy, Candice Bergen, Liza Minnelli, Carole King, Gene Autry, even President Nixon.
Modern Frye boots carry on the hand-crafted tradition today. Most styles are made in Mexico while some special lines are still made in the USA. Comfortable, quality leathers, and traditional riding boot and harness boot cuts are staples of Frye's signature style.
